WASHINGTON, D.C. – FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Jim Newberger for election to the United States Senate for the state of Minnesota.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) William G. Boykin commented:
“This is a critical hour for our country and Americans are looking for bold leaders who are willing to stand strong for faith, family, and freedom. From evaluating Jim Newberger’s record and speaking with others who know him, we believe he will be such a leader. Jim understands the fundamental importance of protecting the right to life, he realizes the central role strong families must play if our country is to thrive, and he recognizes that religious liberty is the bedrock of a truly prosperous nation.
“During Jim’s tenure in the Minnesota House of Representatives, he continuously defended life, family, and religious freedom. He protected life by supporting bills that require abortion physicians to give patients the option of an ultrasound, a bill that prohibits state funding of abortion services, and a bill that establishes abortion facility license requirements. He also voted to protect the safety and privacy of women and children in public restrooms, locker rooms, and showers. Through his leadership and service, he has demonstrated his commitment to the values that made this nation great. We believe he will continue to fight for these values in the United States Senate.
“FRC Action PAC is confident that Jim Newberger will be a dedicated advocate for limited government, for individual liberties, and for strong family values. He is the leader that Minnesota needs, and we are pleased to offer our endorsement of his candidacy for election to the United States Senate,” concluded Boykin.
