Shalanda Young - Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)

Resources:

Shalanda Young is a native of Baton Rouge, La., who has worked in the House Appropriations Committee since 2007. She was nominated to her current position as Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget in January after Biden's previous nominee, Neera Tanden, was withdrawn over her radical policy positions. Young, however, also holds radical positions, opposing even measures meant to protect the conscience rights of pro-life Americans who don't want to fund, promote, or participate in abortions. Young was confirmed as Deputy OMB Director on March 23, 2021 by a vote of 63-37.
