Time to stand up and speak up! That was the resounding message last night at the Friends of FRC Dinner in Southern California, where nearly 500 friends and supporters gathered for the annual event. I was honored to have my good friend, former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, join us as our keynote speaker. With the backdrop of cultural terrorism that's attempting to hold our children hostage in the nearest public restroom, the call was clear: It's time to stop this lunacy.
Michele thanked FRC's backers for the years of support that they were probably not even aware of dating back to her time in the Minnesota Senate. She told of FRC coming to her aid when she introduced the state's marriage amendment in 2004 and teamed up with us to hold the largest rally in history at the state capitol. The friendship continued in her promotion to Congress and efforts to repeal Obamacare. "There is not a better investment of your money in seeding change in our nation than the Family Research Council," she insisted.
She also took the opportunity to honor one of our long time board members who just retired from the board, Kim Bengard and her husband Tom. While a sense of urgency ruled the night as America's future has been dangerously imperiled by the destructive policies of Barack Obama it is ALWAYS encouraging and inspiring when Christian conservatives gather together!
