Unrelenting Faith in Uncertain Times

Unrelenting Faith in Uncertain Times

Uncertainty seems to be the buzzword for 2020. From the pandemic to protests, from riots in the streets to a shocking Supreme Court ruling last week, from the fluctuating economy to the November elections, no one knows what will happen next.

For many Christians, the temptation to give in to discouragement and retreat from cultural engagement is very real. But as I shared in a new Washington Times article, our call is to remain faithful to the Lord, regardless of circumstances or setbacks. Those who stand for faith, family, and freedom are facing difficult days, but the only true defeat would be to give up.

We must not forget the many great victories we have achieved in recent years:

  • Advancing pro-life policies at the state and federal levels to push back on the Left's abortion extremism
  • Spreading the truth through our Washington Watch radio program and even in the mainstream media
  • Protecting religious liberty with the Trump administration, including an HHS regulation protecting faith-based adoption agencies and executive orders in support of students' faith expression in public schools
  • Leading during the pandemic by shaping policies to help families and aiding churches to creatively serve their communities
  • And so much more!

Yes, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), Planned Parenthood, Human Rights Campaign, and other leftist activists may be unrelenting in their fight for anti-biblical values, but we have unrelenting faith.

While the political and culture winds may shift from one day to the next, we will not be moved. FRC will stand our ground to pursue the vision God has given us to build a culture in which all human life is valued, families flourish, and religious liberty thrives.

In Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV), Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

As followers of Christ, our choice is simple. Regardless of tomorrow's headlines, we must boldly stand for truth today.

As one partner recently shared with us:

"I'm even more appreciative of the work of FRC. The world and the U.S. were already becoming darker by the day before this coronavirus crisis. Now those that would seek to remake the U.S.A. into a socialist society with dependence on the government are pulling out all the stops. It is very important that the talented team at FRC stop them in their tracks! We need FRC's loud voice more than ever. Please stay safe while doing all you can to not let the Left gain any more ground. Thank you!"

Will you join this partner and stand with FRC in this hour by making a vital donation today to help us finish our fiscal year in the black? We must meet our budget by midnight June 30 in order to be positioned to seize the unprecedented opportunities -- and face the unforeseen challenges -- in the months ahead.

Thank you for partnering with FRC in prayer, support, and action to keep the doors open for the gospel to go forth, so that all may have the opportunity to know the truth that can set them free.
