FRC Action PAC Announces Endorsement of State Sen. Steve Smith to U.S. Congress
Washington, D.C. -- FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Steve Smith for the U.S. House of Representatives for the 1st Congressional District of Arizona.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin commented:
"The nation is looking for leaders who are committed to establishing a culture in which all human life is valued, families flourish, and religious liberty thrives. During Sen. Smith’s tenure in the Arizona State Senate, he has established himself as an ardent protector of constitutional principles, and a man of integrity and principle.
“We are impressed by his background as one of the youngest Senators in Arizona history, and the first Republican Senator in his district in nearly 100 years. His leadership in passing the “Jobs Bill” that elevated Arizona to #4 in the country for job creation proves his desire to put people over politics. As a consistent friend of the family in the Arizona legislature, he has proven his commitment to the sanctity of human life with a 100% pro-life voting record. He has also worked against the expansion of ObamaCare, taxpayer funding of abortion, and government expansion.
“In Sen. Smith’s time in office, he has worked diligently and effectively to advance education, constitutional freedoms, and lower taxes. It is this kind of bold commitment to conservative principles that the people of Arizona need, and it’s for this reason we believe him to be an exceptional choice to represent the people of the 1st Congressional District.
“We are pleased to join other notable organizations and individuals in offering our endorsement and will urge those who care about the future of our nation and our freedoms to support Steve Smith as well," Boykin concluded.
