Sen. Ted Cruz Joins Tony Perkins on the Radio to Discuss Left Wing Attacks on Brett Kavanaugh

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) appeared on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins, a national radio show which airs on more than 240 stations across the country. Sen. Cruz shared his thoughts on why the left is enraged by Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court and why Americans must vote to defend the Constitution.

Senator Cruz commented, “The left has, for decades now, looked to the court to impose their own left-wing policy agenda that they can’t actually convince their fellow citizens to adopt. Instead, they’ve decided to try to use brute power, and the Supreme Court has been a principal instrument of that brute power.” Sen. Cruz continued, “Replacing Justice Kennedy with a judge who I hope will prove to be a principled constitutionalist has the potential to be a seismic shift in the court.”

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, and host of Washington Watch, added, “Elections have consequences, not just for the president, but for the Senate and for the House. This midterm election is a critical election because we saw it play out last night – this is what people were looking for in 2016.”
