Urge your Senators and Congressman to Vote YES on The Repeal Resolution (S.Con. Res. 3) to Proceed to Repealing Obamacare and Defunding Planned Parenthood
January 10, 2017 - Tuesday

As a nation, we are without excuse in paying for abortion on demand in Obamacare and subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s gruesome trafficking of baby body parts and their inhumane treatment of mothers and their unborn children. The time for action is now, and we need your help!

Please call your Senators and Representative at 202-224-3121 to urge them to vote FOR the budget resolution – the ‘Repeal Resolution’ (S.Con. Res. 3) – which is the first step to repealing Obamacare and defunding Planned Parenthood with just 51 votes in the Senate. Ask your Senators also to vote AGAINST the numerous amendments designed to undermine and slow this process.

If Republicans in the Senate and House fail to pass the Repeal Resolution and Senators fail to vote down harmful amendments, the effort to repeal Obamacare and defund Planned Parenthood will fail. This can pass in the Senate with 51 votes!

In fact, Congress last year successfully did just this! They passed a budget resolution, and then they passed the reconciliation bill to repeal significant portions of Obamacare and defund the vast majority of Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer dollars. But the budget resolution must pass first, giving the committees the chance to write the “reconciliation” bill. While this is a technical process, Congress already successfully went through this process in 2015. Unfortunately, in January 2016, President Obama vetoed it.

But with President-elect Donald Trump’s indication that he would sign this legislation, we have an opportunity for a significant victory. Pro-lifers can see Obamacare gutted, stopping subsidies for health care plans that cover abortion. Pro-lifers can see over $400 million in mandatory spending that currently funds Planned Parenthood rescinded. Victory is within reach.

But there’s a big problem -- if Senators vote ‘no’ on the Repeal Resolution, there will be no reconciliation bill which is the second part of the process. Some Republicans have said that the budget must do more to cut the deficit. While the deficit needs to be addressed, passing both the budget resolution and the reconciliation bill offers the best and only opportunity to gut Obamacare and take back millions of your taxpayer funds that go every year to Planned Parenthood.

Your Senators and Representative need to hear from you! Please call them at (202) 224-3121 and urge them to vote FOR S.Con. Res. 3, “The Repeal Resolution,” to allow for the reconciliation bill. After you’ve called, you can also email them by following this link. Senators and Congressmen must vote ‘YES’ on the Repeal Resolution, and ‘NO’ on the numerous harmful amendments expected to be offered. Voting ‘No’ on the Repeal Resolution will continue the Obamacare disaster and the forced partnership between taxpayers and Planned Parenthood.
