Marcia Fudge - Secretary of Housing and Urban Development

Fudge has been a career politician. She is a six-term Congresswoman, representing Ohio’s 11th Congressional district from 2008-2020. Prior to being elected to Congress, she served as a prosecutor and as Mayor of Warrensville Heights, Ohio. She has been an impassioned fighter for abortion and anti-family policies during her time in office. Fudge was confirmed as the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development on March 10, 2021 by a vote of 66-34.

Views on Abortion:

  • She was endorsed by Emily’s List while running for Congress due to her position on abortion (See link)
  • Co-sponsored legislation that would make a litany of abortion limitations unlawful such as requiring a visit to the doctor’s office, the number of staff needed in abortion businesses, or the doctor’s ability to prescribe medication based on medical judgement (See link)
