FRC Action PAC Endorses George Holding Over Renee Ellmers
Rep. Holding’s Record in Stark Contrast to Rep. Ellmers’ Disappointing Record says FRC Action PAC
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Rep. George Holding for Congress in North Carolina’s 2nd Congressional District.
Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin, FRC Action PAC’s Executive Vice President, commented on the endorsement:
“In his years of service in the United States Congress, Rep. Holding has been a great advocate for conservative principles, receiving a 100% lifetime rating on our annual Scorecard. We commend his votes to repeal ObamaCare, remove taxpayers’ forced partnership with Planned Parenthood, protect religious liberty and rights of conscience, defend the unborn, and advance other important legislation.
“His record stands in contrast to his election opponent, Rep. Renee Ellmers. We were particularly disappointed to see Rep. Ellmers’ effort last year to undermine the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This important legislation would prevent abortion after 20 weeks – a point at which science has proven unborn babies can feel excruciating pain. Abortionists kill about 13,000 babies every year through late term abortions.
“As a member of Congress, he has proven he will stand up for the Constitution and fight for the rights of the people. He understands that Big Government is not the answer to the challenges we are facing and he has supported reigning in an intrusive government bureaucracy.
“FRC Action PAC is confident that he will be a strong advocate for Constitutional limited government, for individual liberties, and for strong family values. Once again, we are pleased to offer our endorsement and will urge those who care about the future of our nation and our freedoms to support him as well,” concluded Boykin.
