FRC Action PAC Endorses Dan Forest for Lieutenant Governor
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Dan Forest for Lieutenant Governor in North Carolina.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin commented:
"These are challenging times. Our nation is looking for leaders who are committed to not just talking about the important issues, but addressing them head-on. From evaluating Dan Forest's record as Lt. Governor, we believe he will continue to be just such a leader in North Carolina.
"We have noted Lieutenant Governor Forest's work ethic, his efforts to reduce burdensome taxes and regulations, his commitment to quality education for all students, and his tireless advocacy for conservative principles. Under the guidance of the conservative leadership that he and others in the state have provided, North Carolina has seen its unemployment rate drop by almost 38%. This is a great step for the hard-working families of North Carolina.
"As one of the earliest state officials to respond to an intrusive federal bureaucracy and its aggressive directive impacting the use of school locker rooms, showers, and bathrooms under Title IX, he issued a public statement exposing this as a clear abuse of power. He has been a driving force in the effort to protect the safety and privacy of North Carolina’s children. His work to bring a lawful approach to an issue that was instigated by an out-of-control federal administration has made clear his commitment to the rule of law and common sense.
"FRC Action PAC is confident that Dan Forest will be a strong advocate for Constitutional limited government, for individual liberties, and for strong family values. Once again, we are pleased to offer our endorsement, and will encourage those who care about the future of our nation and our freedoms to support him as well," concluded Boykin.
