FRC Action PAC Endorses Buck Newton for Attorney General
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Buck Newton for Attorney General in North Carolina.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin commented:
"These are challenging times. Our nation is looking for leaders who are committed to not just talking about the important issues, but addressing them head-on. From evaluating Buck Newton's record as a North Carolina State Senator, we believe he will be just such a leader as State Attorney General.
"As a member of the North Carolina General Assembly, Senator Newton has been a great advocate for conservative principles. His efforts on the Senate Judiciary Committee have demonstrated his commitment to the protection of the state's citizens.
"We have noted his recent work to prevent the Charlotte City Council’s overreaching policy that would have opened up women's locker rooms, changing facilities, and bathrooms to men. He has been a driving force in the effort to protect the safety and privacy of North Carolina's men, women, and children. His work to bring a lawful approach to an issue that was instigated by an out-of-control city council has made clear his commitment to the rule of law and common sense.
"No one knows better than the people of North Carolina the dangers posed by federal executive overreach and why the American people cannot allow themselves to be bullied by the federal government. Senator Newton's record proves that as Attorney General he will not hesitate to stand up to an overbearing bureaucracy on behalf of North Carolina families.
"FRC Action PAC is confident that Buck Newton will be a strong advocate for Constitutional limited government, for individual liberties, and for strong family values. Once again, we are pleased to offer our endorsement, and will encourage those who care about the future of our nation and our freedoms to support him as well," concluded Boykin.
