FRC Action PAC Announces Endorsement of Rev. Mark Harris to U.S. Congress
Washington, D.C. -- FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing the Reverend Mark Harris in the race for the U. S. House of Representatives in North Carolina's 9th Congressional District.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin commented:
"Over the years we have had the opportunity to work with Rev. Harris closely on many important issues affecting North Carolina families. This has allowed us to get to know him and understand what of kind leader he is. We know that if elected, Rev. Harris will be a strong defender of faith, family, and freedom.
"We commend the many times Rev. Harris has clearly and definitively stood up for truth on important issues. As a leading pastor in Charlotte, he understands the dangers posed when the government tries to confine freedom of religion so that it only applies within the four walls of a house of worship. His experience as a pastor has also given him a unique understanding of the challenges American families are facing. We know that if elected to office, Rev. Harris will work to protect the values North Carolina families cherish most. He will stand on behalf of human life at all stages and will honor human dignity. He understands the great danger in forcing peace-loving Americans to violate their deeply-held religious beliefs and will work to protect the rights of conscience.
"FRC Action PAC is confident that Rev. Harris will be a strong advocate for constitutional limited government, for individual liberties, and for strong family values. Once again, we are pleased to offer our endorsement of his candidacy," Boykin concluded.
