FRC Action PAC Announces Endorsement of Rep. Diane Black for Governor of Tennessee
Washington, D.C. – FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Rep. Diane Black in the race for governor of Tennessee.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin commented:
“During my years of working closely with Rep. Diane Black on Capitol Hill as the Republican representative from the 6th Congressional District in Tennessee, I was impressed with her commitment to the founding principles of our great nation. She has risen from humble beginnings to impressive leadership on the House Budget Committee, where she sponsored both the Balanced Budget Amendment, and the No Budget, No Pay Act.
“She has made it a priority to protect the lives and freedoms of American citizens during her congressional tenure. Her votes on the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Act, and the American Health Care Act, as well as her sponsorship of legislation to defund Planned Parenthood and protect religious liberty have proven her tenacious commitment to the fundamental freedoms upon which this nation was founded.
“For Rep. Black’s dedication to the values of faith, family, and freedom, as well as her many votes to protect these values, she’s been a repeated recipient of FRC Action’s ‘True Blue’ award. She has a reputation as a leader who doesn’t merely give lip service to her values, but acts on them. Her record of staunch conservatism and her continual commitment to people above policy will undoubtedly serve the people of Tennessee well.
“She has set out to break the political mold by holding fast to truth that’s often sacrificed on the altar of political correctness. FRC Action is confident that Rep. Diane Black will continue to be a principled advocate for strong family values and personal prosperity, and we are pleased to offer our endorsement of her candidacy for governor of the state of Tennessee,” concluded Boykin.
