FRC Action PAC Announces Endorsement of Dr. Carol Swain for Mayor of Nashville, Tennessee
Washington, D.C. -- FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Dr. Carol Swain for mayor of Nashville, Tennessee.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. General (Ret.) Jerry Boykin commented:
“Dr. Carol Swain’s inspiring life story of going from an impoverished single mother to an academically acclaimed university professor is the quintessential success story of faith, family, and freedom. Her story not only teaches the inefficiencies of today’s overgrown welfare state, but also demonstrates the urgency of protecting the biblical institution of the nuclear family that is constantly attacked by left-wing social extremists. Her life experiences, along with her academic work in political science and constitutional issues confirm to us that the lessons from her story will translate into policies that protect the family such as expanding parental choice in education, helping law enforcement officials protect the safety of Nashville’s communities, and lowering the size and cost of government.
“Throughout her academic career, she has been an outspoken advocate of not only free speech on college campuses, but also the very fundamental Judeo-Christian values that our nation was founded upon. Her boldness in calling out the SPLC for its shameful bullying of religious conservatives, along with her past involvement in FRC events, exceeds the standards of earning our endorsement.
“FRC Action PAC is confident that Dr. Carol Swain will be a principled advocate for constitutionally limited government, individual liberties, and strong family values. We are pleased to offer our endorsement of her candidacy,” concluded Boykin.
