November 11, 2013 - Monday

We wanted to share the following information with you from our friends at Hawaii Family Advocates. If you have previously received this message, please simply disregard this second contact. We did, however, want to make certain that you, your friends, and your neighbors would be aware of this very critical information.

We encourage you to join Hawaii Family Advocates in making your voice heard beginning tomorrow morning!

Many of you have written, or called, to ask what is next and we want to assure you that Hawaii Family Advocates is not going anywhere.  In fact, we are more determined than ever to continue to encourage the community to raise their voices and to help each of you REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER, 2014.

There are several things that we need you to do:

  1. Come down to the Senate Chambers before 9:00 a.m. with your LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE ON MARRIAGE signs. We want to continue to remind the legislature that in 1998 the voters overwhelmingly decided against redefining marriage and any change to that decision should be DECIDED BY THE PEOPLE and not the legislature.
  2. Come to Abercrombie's Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, November 12th at 6:00 p.m. (98-456 Ka'ahele St): Governor Neil Abercrombie is having a "question and answer" session in Aiea/Pearl ....  For those who cannot make it to the Senate rally, what we need most is a very strong showing against Abercrombie.  We will be sign-waving outside of the town hall, and we are hoping to get as many people into the meeting as possible and flood him with questions. Many of you have asked about how you can voice your concerns to the Governor about his support of this contentious issue. This is your opportunity. (READ THE GOVERNOR'S STATEMENT ON PASSAGE OF SB1 HD1)
  3. Be prepared for further instructions regarding the Governor's Press Conference for signing the bill into law which may happen tomorrow.  We will send you another email once we have more information about this and what we will need you to do....

Mahalo for your ongoing prayers and support. VISIT OUR WEBSITE to see exactly how your legislator voted and to view any current updates.

Thank you for standing with us and Hawaii Family Advocates to protect and defend Faith, Family, and Freedom!

2016: It's the Courts, Stupid!
This article was originally published in Newsmax Magazine in June 2016. Deborah Jordahl’s night of horror began on Oct. 3, 2013, when her nocturnal peace was broken by the “Boom! Boom! Boom!” of fists banging on the front door, ordering her to open up.
