March 03, 2017 - Friday

We wanted to let you know that U.S. Senator Angus King will be holding a public listening session on Sunday, March 5, at the University of Southern Maine to learn what constituents like you wish to know about U.S. Supreme Court Nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch.

This is your opportunity to speak face-to-face and remind him that Americans like you want someone on the Supreme Court bench who will respect the Constitution and not legislate from the bench. Exit polling from the 2016 election revealed that filling the SCOTUS vacancy was one of the most important voting issues for the electorate. A Recent Marist Poll showed that 80% of voters say it is an "immediate priority" or "important" to appoint Supreme Court Justices that will interpret the Constitution as it was originally written.

What: Public listening session on U.S. Supreme Court nomination with Sen. Angus King

Date: Sunday, March 5 2017

Time: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Location: Hannaford Hall at the University of Southern Maine
Abromson Center, 88 Bedford St, Portland, ME 04101

Note: Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to get a seat

Don't stay home! Tell Sen. King that you want a defender of the Constitution to be our next Supreme Court Justice. We encourage you to attend this event and respectfully urge him to confirm Neil Gorsuch soon.
