Executive Director, FRC Action
Born and raised in Arkansas, Josh is the oldest son of Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar. Josh was homeschooled and graduated from High School at the age of sixteen. In 1998, his father was elected to the Arkansas House of Representatives where he served two terms. Following his father's unsuccessful bid for U.S. Senate, the national media coverage shifted their focus to the Duggars extraordinary family. A decade later the reality series now called "19 Kids & Counting!" is the longest running reality show on the TLC network.
Intrigued with politics from an early age, Josh began working part time for candidates in Arkansas and elected officials at the State Capitol. In 2006, his political involvement led him to establish Strategic Political Services, a political consulting firm. In addition to politics, Josh owned and operated Duggar Automotive for six years, a pre-owned automotive dealership which he started in 2007.
Josh has had the opportunity to serve on two Presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012, in the latter where he opened numerous rallies and spoke on behalf of the candidate. Drawing from his unique experiences in family, entertainment, politics and business, Josh seeks to use his God-given platform to encourage others to be engaged in the political process.
Recently, a leftist group called the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) added Dr. Ben Carson to its watch list of so-called "extremists." Why would SPLC put the esteemed former neurosurgeon on a list alongside Ku Klux Klan members and neo-Nazis? If Dr. Carson could be labeled extreme for anything, it should be his extreme success. Born into poverty, he rose to become one of the foremost neurosurgeons in the world. When he wasn't separating conjoined twins, he was authoring books and becoming a leading cultural and political commentator.
