FRC Action PAC Endorses Daniel Gade for U.S. Senate in Virginia
Washington, DC - FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Daniel Gade for the United States Senate in Virginia.
FRC Action PAC Executive Vice President, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) William G. Boykin commented:
“Since its inception, FRC Action PAC has supported candidates who take a strong stand for faith, family, and freedom. In this critical hour, Americans are looking for bold leaders who are willing to defend these values. From meeting with Daniel, evaluating his record, and speaking with those who know him, we believe he will be such a leader. Daniel understands the fundamental importance of protecting the right to life, the central role strong families must play if our country is to thrive, and that religious liberty is the bedrock of a truly prosperous nation.
“As a fellow veteran of the United States Army, I applaud Daniel’s heart to serve our nation. During more than 20 years of military service, he received the Legion of Merit, a Bronze Star, and two Purple Hearts. In 2004, Daniel deployed to Iraq where he bravely led a unit of 150 soldiers on many combat missions. During one of these missions, Daniel received a wound that resulted in his entire right leg being amputated and endured more than 40 surgeries. But rather than letting this injury define him, Daniel decided to move forward and thrive. He went on to further his education, worked in the Bush administration, and served on several policy councils dealing with veterans and disability issues.
“Now Daniel is on a different mission while following the same oath. If elected Senator, he has pledged to protect life by defunding Planned Parenthood and supporting pro-life policies, such as the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. He has also promised to oppose the radical Equality Act, which would dramatically undermine religious liberty protections and threaten the integrity of women’s sports. And, an issue with which he is intimately familiar, Daniel would fight for the religious freedom of all who serve in the military. We believe Daniel will continue to serve with the same heart in which he served our nation if elected to the United States Senate.
