FRC Action PAC Announces Endorsement of Ohio Atty. Gen. Mike DeWine for Governor of Ohio
WASHINGTON, D.C. – FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action, is endorsing Attorney General Mike DeWine for Governor of Ohio.
FRC Action PAC President, Tony Perkins commented:
"Attorney General DeWine's distinguished political career uniquely qualifies him to lead the people of Ohio. Having previously served as the state’s Lieutenant Governor, and having represented Ohio in both the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate, he's established a record of putting people over policy and a thorough understanding of the values Ohio’s families cherish most. Most recently, as Ohio’s Attorney General he has answered the call to protect Ohioans from the ravages of the opioid crisis and sexual assault.
"He has also proven his commitment to the timeless conservative values that make this nation great. In the Senate, his sponsorship of the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, and the Federal Marriage Amendment are evidence of his dedication to the principles of federalism and first amendment freedoms. Having helped lead a multi-state amicus brief on the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in Hobby Lobby, and having supported Ohio’s constitutional marriage amendment all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in Obergefell, it’s clear that he recognizes that religious freedom is a sacred right, and that healthy families are the bedrock of society.
